First Holy Communion

photo
I am so happy. This year well actually in April, Gianna will be making her first Holy Communion. She has been studying for 3 years now, and is so excited. She is such a girly girl. She is really excited about the dress.

This is special to us as a family as well. I never made my first Holy Communion as a child even though I was baptized Catholic, my parents never followed through. So I am happy to say I am fulfilling my obligation to her, and the Church.

I can't wait for her to be able to receive communion.

First day of school.

Today was Gianna's first day of school. My oldest is in the 4th grade. I can not believe it. Makes me laugh I think I wore bright outfits like that in the 3rd or 4th grade too. The 80's all over again. LOL

My baby girl had her 2nd recital. She did really well. Included in the pics is Yasmin. She is really growing up. She was very sure of herself on stage and did not hesitate at all. I am very proud of her.

Grand Total $3980.00

Yeah that was the grand total to get the first phase of Gianna's braces. I can't imagine! She needs a two phase treatment. So that price is the beginning price.

I told Gianna jokingly well sort of that she would be picking up cans, and saving her birthday money. LOL And since our dental insurance does not cover orthodontics we are screwed.

I never had braces. I needed them and now I want them. But of course it's too late so we will find some money make payments or whatever so she can have them.

Off the Stripper Pole

Funny title huh let me explain.

Gianna got her report card last week. She did really well. She got 13 E's and 5 S+. She is doing exceptionally well. I am very proud of her. I told her if she received all E's she would get a mani/pedi.

Yes this is a big thing to her. She is a bit of a girly girl. So a mani/pedi would be heaven to her. I was talking with my BFF Angela she was saying her daughter did well but could have done better etc. Know what I mean. Well that got us to talking about our expectations of our daughters.

I told her as long as I keep her off the stripper pole or off the streets, my job is done. Is that wrong to not have huge expectations for your daughter?

Of course I would be happy overjoyed if she was a Dr, a lawyer ,a teacher ,a nurse. I really don't care though if she wants to be a SAHM. I want her to be happy. My boys same thing if they are out of prison or a gang. Yeah me!

I know my kids will make their own decisions when they are older and will need to live up to those decisions. But I will do my best to keep her off the pole.

Gianna is so cute though everyday her occupation changes some days she wants to be a ballerina, a teacher, a dentist, a nun. It's great!

Gianna had her recital pictures done today. Of course mama had to take her own camera. I love the outfit. She loves ballet. I love that she loves the tutu the bun the make-up she loves it all.

She is such a girly girl. I never took classes when I was younger. I am happy that we can afford to send her to classes.

Lovely just Lovely

Since I have been all lovey about the boys now is the time for Gianna. My Gianna she is becoming such a young woman. Now she must take after her mother. I was 7 years old when I learned to ride a bike with no training wheels. Yes call me late bloomer. But my Gianna is the same.

I guess we both know what happens when you fall down. So this past month she finally learned to ride a bike on her own. She now is asking for a cool new beach cruiser like her friend Yasmin.

I have to also gloat that Gianna took the most beautiful pictures. Usually I am not at all pleased by pictures from school. But this year she turned out great. She is alittle shy about not having her two front teeth so she didn't really smile smile but she looks so pretty just the same.

My Gianna also knows how to work her Grandma. She has asked for a vespa like scooter. Let's see if she gets it.

Thanks Dad

Well from my previous post about Gianna's birthday she once again has changed her mind. My dad reminded her that if she has her party in San Diego she won't get as many presents. Thanks Dad again. Now she changed her mind. AGAIN ! So here we go or should I say here I go to try and plan her party for the back yard. I really don't care like I said but Sea World would have been nice too.

My dad is too funny. He better buy the biggest present than.

Gianna and the 8th birthday

This year we gave Gianna the option the big party in our back yard. The pinata, friends from school bouncer, the whole kit and kaboodle. Or the other option was Sea World. We would dine with Shamu, and possibly have only 1 friend tag along. Well after Gianna stewing and reviewing her options she finally decided she wants Sea World now.

I do not care either way, I just want her to have a good birthday. I want her to have great memories of birthdays. I don't recall the last time I had a party when I was a child. I knew I had one when I turned 18 but the rest is all a blur. I think birthdays should be celebrated every year. Yes I have know to go over board from time to time.

But this year we will not. Well maybe we won't ask me again when the boys's birthday pops up.

All I want for Christmas is..........

well it was bound to happen Gianna lost her two front teeth so the song all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth would be mighty appropriate for her this year. I am sad my little girl is getting big and so are my boys. I see them growing too fast.

Richie is talking up a storm he has such a personality he cracks me up. He makes up games and has such an imagination it amazes me.

Gianna is doing so well in school. She got the flag, which is a big to do. They give you a sticker so your parents can put in on the bumper. It is their version as a citizen ship award. SHe was the first one to get it this year. I couldn't be prouder. She also is doing extremlly well in ballet. I am so proud of my girl.

And my Nicholas is such a joy I call him the bobble head he is looking all around these days wonder what is out there. He laughs with such glee in his eyes. He really is a good baby all around.

And my business is taking off I am getting all the needed paper work done and found a hook up to make my shirts. I am well on my way. :)

Hump Day

Today is a great day I finally found someone to help out with the children. I am very lucky my aunt has agreed to come help out a few days per week. Yeah me, now I can go out to the store with out all the children, go to an appointment with out kids in tow. Make some phone calls with out someone yelling mama mama at the top of their lungs. I am so happy.

I pulled Gianna's front top tooth out last night. She was upset but the poor tooth was dangling there holding on by a thread. So yank I pulled it out. She cried for a bit but that's Gianna it wouldn't be her unless some tears were involved. LOL I am sad to say though she looks some what like a snaggle tooth now in front oh well for Christmas pictures. My poor baby girl.

Richie is a potty training graduate he is doing very well. He does on occasion have a poopy accident but other wise he is doing really well. He loves to turn on the water after to wash his hands and gets a kick out of flushing the toilet. Oh the joys of a 2 yr old.

Nicholas I am told is a big boy. I guess when you see them every day you don't know how big they really are. Well according to everyone else he looks like a 6 month old. I love my big ol baby he is such joy a happy baby. Yes he has his crying moments but it's usually because he likes the arms and wants to be snuggled all day long.

enough for now have a great day. thanks for reading.
