Decorating/The easy way

My neighbor down the way became a seller of these cool stickers for your walls. I think I want a few things from this place. Have you heard of it? It's called Uppercase living. You can pick from letters to sayings to objects. I love it. Above is an example of the many things you can buy.

I think I want the pantry sign for my pantry and some lettering for my laundry room too.

Making a kids library?

Not my kids but I love to see kids reading. We have a cute little book collection at our house but want to add to it. Gianna has read and reread most of her books. So I am looking to add some new ones. Thankfully the generic ones I can pass on to read to the boys. I dont' think they want to read about princess and girl stuff though. So those we may get rid of. How do you collect books do you buy them. Go to the library only or do a book swap?

My Cross Obession.

Here is the wall going upstairs. I love all my crosses. Most of them were gifts from many people. The big one in the middle came from Mexico City. My poor family carried it with them on the plane and through the town. Then I have one from Texas, from Belinda. Some are from my best friend Angie, some from my mom. I love them all.

Christmas in my house!

The toys and loads of trash in the back. It was a pure mess for about 2 days.

I think the kids had a great Christmas next year I vow to have a simple Christmas.

Relay for Life

Big Richie was captain of a team this year. His team managed to raise over 2 thousand dollars for cancer research. He was hoping to win best camp site, and mission statement. He only won mission statement. But I was proud of him his decorations came out great, and were hand made in our backyard.

Cleaning Spree

Boy it sure was quiet at my home today. Richie went to preschool. Gianna was at school, and Nicholas was on a trial run at the new sitters. 4 hours of alone time. I must admit it was great. I cranked up the radio. I gotta listen to Sirius the Big 80's. I love it.

So with all my free time. I did 6 loads of wash. I cleaned out 2 closets. I cleaned out 2 toy boxes. I had a total of 7 bags of stuff to give to goodwill. My little bus is packed to the gills with stuff. I even swept mopped did dishes sterilized bottles and breast pump stuff.

I updated the wall calender. Cleaned out the truck, and the counter that seems to acquire whatever is in my pockets from the end of the day. It felt nice to have a clean house even if it was for a few hours.

Thankful Thursday

Yes I have lots to be thankful for.

1. After my past post I was beside myself with worry. Well I was searching high and low for someone. I asked all my co-workers if they knew anyone. Well after much searching I find someone to watch Nicholas. I am so happy she seems like she is going to work out great. We begin in April.

2. Thankful that Richie is liking preschool. I left him there Monday. He cried for a minute wanted to go home with me. I had to be stoic and strong. I gave him a kiss and a hug . I left him there. I so wanted to cry but I didn't. He did well though per the teacher. So this is the start of him and school. I was so rushed though I did not have pictures. Maybe next week I will post some.

3. I am thankful today me, hubby and the boys went out to lunch. We went to the mall. While there I was able to meander through Sears, yes Sears. I found 2 cute dresses on clearance I couldn't pass them up. 8 and 11 dollars for dresses well over 50 bucks can;t beat that.

4. I am thankful that Spring is here. The weather has been so beautiful that we are wearing shorts most days.

Green Heaven

I must be getting old. I am excited I got grass in my back yard. It looks like a super green carpet. I think it looks beautiful. We were on a time crunch to lay the grass down. Can't have our guests running through a dirt field for Gianna's party. So after much back breaking work oila a super green back yard.

Everyday Errands

Today is pay day which for us is grocery shopping day. I am a list maker. Makes shopping easier and I tend to not buy what ever is in sight. I like using www.kraftfoods.com website for ideas, and shopping lists.

Costco is also another shopping mecca for us. Where else can you get eggs to last for weeks, as well as tires while you wait. You can't beat their snack bar either. The kids love costco to try out the furniture, and looking at all the books.

Where else can you get giant size TP and paper towels. Oh how I love costco!

Thankful Thursday

Today was a good day.

I am thankful for knowing the firefighters. Today we saw them in town. We said Hi and asked if they mind us letting Richie see the truck. They said of course we opened the door and he sat in the truck. Boy I wish I had my camera he was so happy and excited. He yelled out look at all the stuff mom! Boy that was a sight to see.

For Gianna be as spoiled as she is. Yes I said it. I am thankful we can afford things my parents never could have. Today Gianna got a new beach cruiser. A Hawaiian print one complete with a basket.

For my DH having a day off. He has been working the last 2 months straight. Today he was off, and we got to run errands together. Yes I am happy for that.

Wish Table

This is the table I wish I could have for my kitchen. It's from here so you know it's expensive . I wish I could afford it. So instead of the 4 thousand dollar price tag. I think I will search in San Diego for it's equivalent. And hope I find one similar for less money.

If the house is a rocking

we just had a 5.4 magnitude earthquake right now. The first one that actually knocked some things off my shelves. Wow the house really sways in a 2 story home. We are safe of course but everyone is sleeping in my room just in case of after shocks.

Richie = Crazy Shopper

ok I went shopping with Big Richie for groceries. We were seriously out of all the stuff we use almost daily. Than we bought more stuff for those rare occasion that we might need it. Like Tempura mix, cake batters, flour , sugar. You get the idea. Than it was on to Costco the mecca of all things big. We purchased big towels, TP, soups, razors. I think I will not have to buy anything for a good long while. Big Richie goes crazy at times. Most times I like to make a list and stick to it. But my hubby the cook likes to veer off the list and we wind up in 250.00 in groceries. Just from one store mind you. That as not including costco. I won't say how much I spent there. Shear craziness.

Construction Pic No Wall No More

Here is the house now it is done. I still need to replace the carpet that is missing where we knocked out the wall. But is makes the house so much bigger I think. I still need to do some touch up painting here and there but you get the idea.

Construction

Brand new home and we are already knocking down walls. I am happy to say we have knocked down a wall that separates the two living rooms. The wall you see above behind the chandelier is the wall that is coming down. I am so excited can't wait to post updated pics when it's finally finished.
