Spooky Cute!

We had some people from work over for a little party. We did pumpkin carving, and the kids wore their costumes. I think everyone had fun. We served spooky worm spaghetti with meatball eyeballs. I made cupcakes and plenty of iced sugar cookies. Yeah sugar all around.

I think everyone had fun. I hope we could do it again next year.

Christmas Wishes! Ida Style

This is just a wish list will the list every come true probably not. But hey one has to wish for Christmas right?

I want to spend a few days at the Hotel Del Coronado. In San Diego, you can go ice skating by the sea. They decorate so beautifully. I hope some day to spend some time there.


I need a makeup case. I have been buying myself make up lately a lot of it. So I need a new place to put all my make in. A new case would do the trick. Better than the beat up old case that holds my make up now. It's on it's last leg.


Yes there it is. I want some one carat diamond earrings. Yes it's not going to happen but I want it anyways.

oh and the mother load. I want another purse. Yes I don't need it but mama needs a new bag.

Where I won't be at too expensive.

I would love to give the gift of a UFC fight to hubby. But that is a big hell no. Not for 750.00 a ticket. I can not afford that. Even if it's our anniversary. Sorry hubby!

Hubby looking for work!

I may have blogged about it. But my honey was getting burnt out at his job. He had been in administration at the hospital for 4 almost 5 years. He was tired and cranky. So he decided he wanted a change. Well changes included him quitting his job. He will still teach the Nursing students and paramedic students. But this really gives him free time to pursue his dream.

He wants to become a flight nurse. Now hubby is getting up in age. So he needs to book it soon, and start training. I am all for it. It's his dream. Who am I to stop him? So he will be studying ICU and Recovery Room. He needs some different experience before he can fly.

But I am happy for him. I hope it works out. :)

In the mean time I will be working like a mad woman. Since the bills don't pay themselves, and I didn't notice a money tree in the back yard.

Oh and admin. gave him a 300.00 gift card to the Marriot hotels for his servitude. I am looking forward to using it.

Not like I was away on some exotic vacation. Nope I was working the last 4 days straight. 12 hour days. I was mentally tired. I would come home and crash out.

Now most people know I am not the computer whiz. I guess I could auto post for the blog. But since I won't even attempt it. My blog will suffer in my absence.

It's the most wonderful time.

The weather I am hoping and praying has finally turned. This morning we decorated pumpkins. I took all the boxes of Halloween decorations down from the barn. I can't wait to start decorating. It was cool enough to open windows. Cool off the stuffy house. Yeah for not turning on the a/c. Saves me some money! Yeah!

Homie's For Life

We were invited to a party with a theme. The party is thrown by the local ambulance department. The same people who will shock you back to life, do CPR, get you out of that accident. Well they chose a Homie Party Theme. Now if you have not seen a Little Homie they are figurines you could get for 50 cents in the bubble gum machines.
So now that my latin-ness is packed into plastic figurines. From which to choose from. You can choose from Papi Chulo, Shygirl, Loco, Puppet. Oh the list goes on and on.

Thankful Thursday

Thanks Tib for the new logo. :)

1. I am thankful that I have 4 jobs now. Yes I still manage to work only 3-4 days a week despite having 4 jobs now. I now do IV infusion, ER, ICU , and other ER.

2. For cooler weather. It still gets in the 90's in the afternoon but the mornings are wonderful. I even shut off my a/c in the am.

3. Finding a pretty dress for the wedding we have coming up. What can I say I like getting dressed up seeing my husband in a suit.

4. When my hubby kisses me bye in the morning while I am still laying in bed. I get to smell his cologne, and fall back to sleep to the smell. mmmmm

Random facts.
1. I am a worry wart. I usually let things get to me. I worry about a lot of stuff. When I was in elementary school, I had an ulcer. It was horrible.

2. I let my kids fight. I know I should always break them up but sometimes I just let them go.

3. I hate my body. I hate what gaining 64 lbs did to it. :(

4. I have so many gray hairs it isn't even funny. I have to color it every 4 - 6 weeks or else I look wicked.

5. I want to punch some of the people at my work some days. I think I could do it and run away really fast.

6. I have a collection of crosses on my stair well. It's my thing. I have received crosses from every where. I love them .

7. I watch UFC way too much to where I know the people's names. It's ridiculous.



Four and Four

I am supposed to go to my picture folder and open the fourth folder and then open the fourth picture and talk about it.
The picture is from my 10th year reunion that I did not attend. I had barely had Nicholas, and my vainess kept me from going since I was sporting a serious baby bulge. But I recieved this picture. In it are Kami, Andy, and Kristy.

The 2 girls were my good friends in elementary school. The boy is who I was suppose to marry when your parents were deciding your futures. LOL
I kissed him once , but that was all. I miss all 3 of those people. Especially the middle one. :)

Halloween in my neighborhood!

Well maybe not that bad. But there is some foreclosed houses here. I blame people not reading their contracts, and 100% financing. For that reason, I will not be able to get as much candy this year. LOL

Too good to be true?

Who knows if this is true considering I got it in a chain mail. But In & Out is celebrating it's 60th anniversary.

In-n-Out's 60^th Year Anniversary is Wednesday, October 22^nd. All hamburgers will be sold for 25 cents, Cheeseburgers 30 cents, Fries 15 cents, and drinks are 10 cents!!! So mark your calendars!

I really hope this is true I will be a fat cow that day, forget the diet.

Costume help !

So to my faithful 3 readers or 5 if I am lucky. I need some help with my costume this year. I have this dress my mother in law gave me many moons ago. I could never fit in it till now. Yeah me! Anyways, I could wear it a number of different ways but wanted the opinions of others.



So do we do Vegas show girl, Bonnie and Clyde Flapper from the 20's, burlesque? Let me know people I also wanted to do a little something in my hair. Maybe a fascinator, or a mini top hat. C'mon ladies I need some suggestions. And men too.

Makeup for dummies.

Awhile back I posted that I bought these makeup for dummies from Avon.

Step one take these funky little eye patch things for both eyes.

Place one of them on each inner corner of your eye.

Rub rub rub the makeup on your eye with your other hand try to get the most eyeshadow you can on the lid.
Yeah it will be bright and look funny, From this point use your finger tip and smear the eyeshadow in.
Voila eyeshadow for dummies. I used a little eye liner and some mascara.

All done off to the store we go.

My Favorite Monday

Today's favorite Monday is all about your clothes your favorite item of clothing. Tiburon picked today's topic.

I love my Lucky jeans this was the first pair of jeans I paid over 100.00 for. Yes that is steep for my pocketbook. I love that I had then after Richie when I was my smallest. I love that they are size 6. I love them with boots,and heels. I love they give me a butt.

Confessions of a Girly Girl

Anyways I thought I would love to take some pictures like that someday. And no I am not talking the raunchy racy photos of Bettie Page. Something more refined, well as refined as a pin up girl can be. LOL So I did it I booked an appointment with her. I am so excited I can not wait. They do hair makeup clothes etc. I really hope they turn out nice. They better for the price I am paying. he he.....

Crazy hair

Clearly not my children but what are your thoughts about your kids hair? I have a mohawk on Richie right now. This is his 2nd mohawk. I don't mind him having a mohawk. Thoughts? Do you let your kids have hair their way?

Glamping= Camping in Style

Once upon a time, when Richie and I were still dating we went camping with 2 other couples. We went to the Julian mountains. We loaded up all the treats jello shooters, steaks, drinks, tents etc. We had every intention of staying out there. Richie was so excited, I was just happy to be there. I was the good lil girlfriend type. Anyways, we are driving there, the skies begun to get black. We finally got to the campsite it starts to rain.

We went down the road all of us couples, and decided to rent a room yes all of us in one room till the rain let up. Who can set up a tent in the rain? So there we are cooking steaks on the smallest hiabchi known to man. The rain finally let up we went to camp. So there we are the rains came back which is so cold so it turned to hail. So we are being plummeted by teeny tiny ice bombs. It was horrible. We have not camped since.

But he does talk of camping. I told him I would camp if we could go here. El Capitan Camping.
Talk about posh camping or glamping as they call it. Glamour camping, complete with room service, they can prepare your meals or you can bring your own food. Spa, shows, activities, hot showers my kind of camping!


OH yeah I think I could camp now.
