This month the old hubby and I will be going out and celebrating our 10th year Anniversary.
Our anniversary date is actually in December. But with the holidays I doubt we will have the time so we will go earlier.

Bit of Freak

So I am a bit of a freak. Always out for the best deal, cheapest I could find, let me look around kind of girl.

Well I was on the hunt for a silver dress. Yes we are weirdos but the department chooses a color for the Christmas party and all the girls where that particular color. Well this year it was silver.

Not being the disco loving lady, I was hard set on finding something appropriate, and not resembling a disco ball.

So I searched high and low at Fashion Valley thee best mall in all of San Diego. No luck. Unless I wanted to wear a tube top looking dress, that I would be embarrassed to show my mommy too.

So I came across a simple dress that I could butter up and make it look nice enough.

Oh and since I love the ladies of mad men. It was mad men inspired. Take a look.

Yeah me pissed off looking. My hubby was being an arse when I told him I needed a picture.
And with a belt. And yes I know I have 2 different shoes on. It's so I can get an opinion.

Thoughts. Can't beat the dress price 29.00 at forever 21. :)

Keeping the Economy Going.

So I am a bit of a freak. I have searched high and low. Even read reviews, and opinions on phones etc. Yes I am a nerd. Well I finally got a new phone. I paid a pretty penny for it. But oh it was worth it.

I think I am in love. I hold my new phone more than I hold my kids lately. I think I could marry it and I would be known as Mrs. Hero. I got the new Sprint Hero. And it's everything my little heart desired. From facebook, to managing my calenders, and email. Oh I love it so.

Yeah I am a freak so what.

Flu Flu Go Away....

So I am done I need to post a white flag outside my door saying I surrender.

I surrender to the phlegm and the coughing. The fevers, and sore throats. The body aches, and chills.

To giving Tylenol around the clock to little ones who fight and squirm. To crying and whining. I am done I surrender.

I am tired I am beat up, and I think I could sleep in my bed for a week. Only after I wash my sheets because all my hacking and coughing at night I am sure they are full of germs.

Anyways, the plague has hit our home from kid to kid. I wanna feel better NOW!

I want a nap..... yawn!

ER Nurses day

Here is link to how we celebrated ER nurses week this year. My hubby being the director still, was eager to show his nurses how much he appreciated them. They got free make up and a back pack, goodies in the bags, and raffles too for gift cards etc.

Life as Nicholas

Nicholas funny. He truly is a snake charmer. He can smile and hug his way through almost anything. I blame my weakness on him being the baby.

Anyways Nicholas as we know it.

Power my butt.
Also known as powder my butt. He is one kid who requests powder on his butt every diaper change.

This morning he asked for dirget dirget dirget. I was like huh? Well turns out he wanted Yogurt.

He yells ,and fights when it's time for bed. Until you mention that you'll put on Bob the Builder DVD, and then all is right in the world ,and he'll go to bed no fuss.

He jumps off the couch like a baby evil knievel. Trying to fly as he says.

He has a better appetite than any of the other kids, and will eat everything. From sushi to chicken salad heck he'll even try salsa. Until he says hawt hawt hawt. (hot)

He runs like the wind. And I even have to wrangle him up from running in the street etc.

Anyways he is a good boy who brings me joy and laughter.

Annual Halloween Party

We had a blast at our Halloween party this year. The kids carved pumpkins, and ate, We had cupcakes, and drinks.

I love all the pumpkins and the parents who helped to carve them. Because we know we adults actually do the dirty work, and gut pulling from the pumpkins.

Anyways, I will continue to have this party as long as my kids want it.

Looking forward to it !

I am looking forward to having a night alone with the hubby this weekend. We are going to a hospital function that happens to be at a new casino this coming weekend. I am so happy. :)

I am so happy the weather although warm during the day is great in the evenings with temps in the 70's.

To finally being done with any that involves anesthesia. The boys made it through just fine. Although Richie is still sore which is understandable.

To being able to wear a coat again, and sweaters.

To baking I love baking and keeping the house warm with goodies in the oven warmth.

To buying a cocktail dress for the upcoming parties, and banquets we have coming up. I love a good cocktail dress. And of course the shoes.

Being that I am working my tail off. I bought my self some boots, as I mentioned before and some jeans, and a sweater and a shirt. Yeah I went a little nuts. But hey I did get the purse free thanks to the coupon I had for DSW.

I am thankful for...

I am thankful finally feeling better.
My kids and the joy they bring me.
Having health care available to us so readily.
Drugs, no not the bad ones the ones that helped me get over my bug.
The weather being beautiful.
Some money in my pocket, and a coupon for shoes. :)
My hubby, he drives me crazy at times but I love him.
My mom watching my kids in a few weeks so I can have some alone time with said husband.

Is it wrong to really want some shoes. I once said I am a shoe whore. I love shoes. I want to buy them, and plan the outfit around them. I want the shoes to go out, on a field trip, a see me and my cute shoes trip.

These shoes below need to go with me, they need to go out on the town. It's too bad I would probably only wear them once. But I promise Gianna will have some really kick ass shoes when she is older.




The red ones call to me. I think they need to go to a Christmas party.

An Edward of my own.

So I am looking around the Nordstrom store online, and whom do I find??? My very own life size cut out of Edward. Ha Ha. Or Jacob if you prefer. I think Gianna would just die if I bought this for her. Die from happiness.

How do you do it in your house?

So how do you do it in your house? Christmas I mean. Do you buy or a set amount for each child. Or just one really good gift?

With economic times, I don't think we will be doing heavy duty expensive gifts this year. I think I will follow the 3 wise men's rule, and each child will receive 3 small gifts.

Really my kids don't NEED anything at all. They have a house over their heads, clothes on their backs, and food in their tummies. Most I can say for some kids these days.

I do think at times the meaning of Christmas is lost on little ones. This year I will do my best to remind them it's Jesus's birthday, and not a day of presents alone.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

We are biggies here when it comes to Halloween. I am embarrassed to say I currently have 6 of those storage tubs in my front room, waiting. All full of Halloween decorations. We have been putting some up a little at a time. The wind was not cooperating this weekend, and I was not about to chase ghosts, and goblins who blew down the street.

So we are also having a big party for the kids. Complete with pumpkin carving, games, and of course food.

I hope the kids enjoy it. I hope to scare a few kids, also and have some fun.

Best Diet Ever..

Yeah this week I found the best diet ever. It's called a stomach bug. That kind that makes you lose 6 lbs in a few days. The kind that makes you scared even to drink water. Yeah that was me this week.

I can tell you since Monday night I have not had a real meal. I have had some bread and water. And thanks to the hubby, a nice IV complete with 2 bags of saline here at home. Thankfully the IV perked me up a bit, and also sadly gave me some of my weight back. :(

Anyways here is to hoping I can eat some real food this week.

Guilty of...

I am guilty of

Surfing the internet way too much.

Not making breakfast cereal is just as good right?

Not shaving my legs for days on end.

Letting the kids watch too much TV.

Cheating on my diet.

Not going to church every Sunday. (watching football or sleeping in instead).

Speeding.

Road Rage. (with some choice words).

Using my horn at people, dumb people on the road.

Having the worse sweet tooth.

Cursing like a sailor at times. It's rubbing off on the little one. I caught him saying ass the other day.

Having stuff in my cart, buyers remorse, and putting it back on any shelf. Sorry Target employees. I will try to be good.

Having to many magazine subscriptions. I am getting better though down to 2 now.

Yelling to much at the kids. I need to stop.

Not making a scrapbook for kid 2 or 3. I got lazy along the way.

Not keeping in touch with family.

So I have been trying to be faithful to my treadmill or running outside if the hubby is home. I did a great run today on the treadmill. Thanks to music, and my ipod which I love. Here I am about to change out of stinky clothes, and what do I see.....

The back of my legs. They are starting to resemble cottage cheese. WTH? I am being good, why must you do me like that?

Please legs, please cooperate, and not go down the path of cheesy-ness. Why o' why?

Let's make a deal, I will run, and eat better, and you will not resemble cheese. K!

Just when I thought I looked cute....

So I bought some new jeans awhile back, thanks to a coupon at Gap.They are the sexy boot cut jeans. They hug in all the right places. Just love them. I paired them with a cute cardigan sweater, and some boots. Here I am thinking I look cute. Only to look in the mirror, and what do I see. A pimple right in the middle of my eyebrows. LOL

God pegged me down a few notches. Not so cute now huh???

Story of my life. IN other news it's Friday. For this I am happy. I work the weekend though boo hoo.

Shoes - A love story

A girl can wish can't she? Let's go window shopping a'la internet. Maybe if I am lucky I can find the knock off of these shoes some where. I love shoes. I always have. I am the type of girl that will buy the shoes, and then look for the outfit to match them. I love my DSW here. I am a loyal customer.

I love a good pump or a boot. This year I bought some new flat boots, at Forever 21 one of my favorite stores. For 20 bucks. Can't go wrong with that price. And yes I am far from 21 but still love the store. It feeds my trendy monster.

Anyways, off to find some cute pumps, and some where to wear them too. hmmmm????










I especially love that purple pump reminds me of Prince in the 80's.

First Holy Communion

I am so happy. This year well actually in April, Gianna will be making her first Holy Communion. She has been studying for 3 years now, and is so excited. She is such a girly girl. She is really excited about the dress.

This is special to us as a family as well. I never made my first Holy Communion as a child even though I was baptized Catholic, my parents never followed through. So I am happy to say I am fulfilling my obligation to her, and the Church.

I can't wait for her to be able to receive communion.

Where's my Money Tree??

There is some big things coming up in my household. First off my Richie needs to have his tonsils removed. The thought of this scares me to death. He has had anesthesia once so I know he will hopefully God willing do OK with it.

On the other hand the little one Nicholas needs to have his front teeth fixed. Courtesy of mommy , and the sippy cup. I really do think some kids are prone to cavities.

Anyways between the both of them minus the flexible spending account, we are looking at a few thousand. Oh, and the hotel rental for when we go. Yipee! Where is my money tree when I need it.

Kanye vs. Rob

Stole these from Sarah at Kamp Koala thought they were funny enjoy!! With new moon coming up everyone could use a little Rob. =)

My easy go to meal.

When I am in a pinch and need to make something quick this is my go to meal. It's not pretty but it's good.

Buy some stewed tomato's what ever you like Italian style or Mexican.
And broccoli florets. See I am cheap and buy the store brand.


I brown some kielbasa and slice it up.

Throw it all in a pan, and let it simmer till the broccoli is cooked. Put the lid on.

Serve over jasmine or brown rice, and you are done.



Really it is that easy. I usually start the rice first. And by the time the rice is done the meat is too.

And yes my kids eat this and love it. :)

Kanye is an Arse.

I don't really care about her. But at least have some decency to not steal her thunder or her spotlight.

I have 2 sick kids, and think they are getting me sick too.

Gianna is doing a darn fundraiser for school. I hate those things.

I hate ham deli meat. It's gross.

I hate mushrooms. Who eats fungi anyways. Well except cheese.

I love my running shoes.

My hubby told me he needs to fire me.

I am not liking my math class. But I gotta deal with it.

I need to color my hair AGAIN!

It stunk. And I think I saw some banana in it.

I wonder if my kids have the swine flu. I am sure I bring home bugs from work.

I have to hold down the little one to take his med's. It looks like torture.

I miss my hubby.

Nicholas fell off the bed last night. But he landed on some pillows so we are cool.
