Update on Me.

Some weird things of me lately.

I dream lately of taking pictures. In my dreams, I am taking these really cool pictures, and the lighting is always right and looks amazing. Too bad it's not like that in real life.

I am obsessed with getting a certification. I need to get either my certified emergency nurse or the critical care nurse certification. Now I don't get a raise if I get it but it's the beauty of knowing I passed the test.

I am in love with my new mascara see post below.

I turn 30 next week. I don't want a party I don't want to celebrate.

I have been working so much I have been neglecting my blog.

Gianna got 2 red cards in the last month. I am sad. She usually is a good girl, and she is but it's not like her to get in trouble at school. And detention to boot oh no. So she was grounded from TV all weekend long.

oh and I can't wait for the boxing match this weekend. Hatton vs Paciao.

Beauty Products I love

I am in love with lotion. I slather this on my children and at work after washing my hands a gazillion times a day this works and it smells yummy. Plus it's cheap like less than 4.00 at whatever store carries baby stuff.
OK I was a little worried about this one. Come on really a mascara that will lengthen my lashes and not make them fall down yeah right. Well it works. I love this stuff. I have the long lashes like fake ones but no no no these are my lashes. When you wash it off you get this little tube thingys in your hand or wash clothes, but those are the tubes washing off. No smudging or flaking for me either.


Ssssh don't tell anyone my most favorite after the shower lotion has a hemp leaf on it. I use this stuff everyday and through out the day. I LOVE it. It's kind of pricey but it smells great and leaves me silky smooth. LOL I buy mine at trade secrets.

Yes I know today's post is more of an infomercial, but thought I would share.

BBQ Day

I took these pics with my Sony. I always have my sony in my bag. Doesn't take as good as photos as my d50 but who cares. Anyways the hospital every year puts on a BBQ for their employees. It was fun they had jumpers for the kids, free food, face painting, fun games, bingo, or loteria as it's called here, and free snow cones. Yummy.

The kids ran around and had a fun time. The hubby was there too but since he is higher on the food chain at work not he had to serve the food.

Hubby's new obsession.

MY husband is a weirdo at times. God Love him. He has gotten on a letterboxing kick. In a nut shell it's like a treasure hunt but the "booty" is a stamp in your log book saying "I've been here". The kids are enjoying it, and we are seeing some sites we probably might have skipped. For instance we have never been to some of the national parks, or some sites in San Diego. Here is some pictures.

When you have the time.

When you have the time you can actually do your hair cute. I tell you I love all things old school. So I did my hair a la Rosie Riveter. Ask me about my hair today? Ssh it's not even combed. LOL

The law won.

I can not believe it but my honey got 2 tickets in the same week. The first one was for speeding. He was going 70 in a 55 mph zone. The 2nd one was on our way to San Diego. He got a ticket in my car about the tint on our car. I guess the windows are too dark. I disagree but whatever he still got 2 tickets on his record.

So we will pay for these some day soon.

Speaking of numbers there is is a few on my plate that I need to remember.

Money needed for mommy make over- $5000.00 in addition to what is saved already.

Pounds I gained back over the weekend- 3

Days till I turn 30 :(- 22 days

New Baby Photos

This is my new niece and she is beautiful. I hope I am spelling her name correctly it's Audrina Kiana. She is 1 week old and I love that new baby smell. She is a big gal coming in at over 8 lbs. She is happy and nursing strong. Jaime is the new big brother. I think he doesn't even know he has a little sister yet. I think he has her on ignore. LOL

The healing benefits of Bacon.

According to an article here Bacon can cure the hangover. There is something in the bacon that raises amino acids which aides in curing the dreaded hangover. Who would have thunk it that bacon cures all. Now only is bacon could cure cancer all would be right in the world. LOL

I am happy to know about this although I will not be needing this cure I haven't drank in forever, let alone gotten drunk. oh well hope it helps you.

Things I am not looking forward to.

-I am not looking forward to paying taxes.

-I am not looking froward to paying for such services knowing that I have to pay the State money. Thanks a lot state. You raise my taxes, and now I owe you more.

- To paying for my license renewal on my nursing license.

- Pap smear enough said.

- Raising another 5k for the mommy make over.

- Going to work the next 2 days plus Saturday.

- Possibly staying in the ICU till August. I love it and get bored with it.

- Mammogram. ouch.

Today my baby girl turned 9. Whoa time has flown by. I can still remember being pregnant with her. And look at her now. We spent the weekend with the fishes and Shamu. She loved it. Happy Birthday Baby!

Darin and Yvonne he also works in the ER. They look so cute together and she didn't even want to come out to the Ball.

I was laughing at this quilt don't get me wrong it was made beautifully but the fabric had me laughing. For one I know none firefighters who look like that much less pose like that. But whatever in the live auction it went for 180.00 an eye popping amount. And no I didn't bid on it.

I did however bid and won on Lego Land tickets. Burn institute gets money I get tickets, and the tax write off. woot woot

Love this dress.

I bought this dress at Charlotte Russe. I think I blogged about it earlier. Well here it is on. I love the pattern so much. I wore it to church. Don't mind the toys in the back ground. When I have to take a picture of myself. I have to set the timer and run over to take the picture. Someday I will get another tripod. The kids stole the last one.

Has it been a week?

Well everyone else was partying and having a grand old time I was working. OK to catch up. I worked t-w-th. I had Friday off I spent the day vegging out before it was time to go the the Burn Institute Ball, at the country club. Then I woke up before the sun was up to go to work the weekend.

My family on the other hand had fun. They went to the desert, they went to the movies, the pigged out on whatever was in the house. That is what you get when the Daddy is home.

I am tired. Yawn....

oh and I work Tues, Wed, Thurs again. We leave Friday to San Diego for Gianna's birthday at Sea World and my race in Carlsbad. I so am walking the 3.1 miles. Hopefully I can veg sometime next week.

Things I have learned in the ICU.

- To play twister with the many IV pumps, tubes, wires, and vents on the side of the patients. Goal don't get caught on a wire or tube or you and the patient lose.

- That a vent patient can make for a nice quiet day at work.

- To make nice with the Dr's all 50 of them for my one patient. ok exaggerating but you get the idea.

- To love fruit salad. One of the nurses makes a mean fruit salad when the day is sailing through.

- That I can appreciate the slowness of the ICU the pace is a vacation from the ER.

I am sure I will post more later. And yes I miss the ER still.

Have you ever watched it? Yes I watch meaningless TV shows. I love this show. For it's dumbness, the stunts, and just to see what he will do next.

Still sick..

There is something to be said when you lose 4 lbs in one night due to the OUTS. I mean the outs of both ends. It is horrible. I feel shaky and weak. Everything hurts. I called in sick for work for 2 days now.

I can't imagine trying to take care of patients when I feel to weak to climb the stairs. I can't even eat. I hate being sick.

I hope I feel better soon. I am suppose to make my brother's cake for his 25th birthday. I am suppose to make a guitar shaped cake. Wish me luck.

I think I want the pantry sign for my pantry and some lettering for my laundry room too.

What's happening?

Well I survived the sickness. I also hosted Richie's BFF in the whole world and the wifey Audra and kids for the weekend. The girls had fun and played all day long. I finally felt better Sunday and made it to Old Navy for a great sale.

I also worked Sunday night it was nice to be back in the ER. I worked because they were short.

Nicholas is sick he is croupy and fever and doesn't feel good. I hope he feels better soon.

So now I get to clean the house and do laundry woohoo.

Food Poisoning!

ok I cheated I had a hamburger from a certain place called Burger King where you can have it your way. I never asked for it to be covered in germs, and served up hot. I have been in the restroom non stop. It sucks. I feel weak, and sleepy and can't even eat. That was last night.

This morning I woke up with a queasy uneasy stomach and don't want to risk eating anything solid.
I did however manage to keep saltines, and water down. yeah me!

The beauty of stomach flu the weight loss. Yeah 3 lbs in a day and a half talk about sickness.

ok maybe tomorrow I will brave it and try to add something else. I am not that big a fan of saltines alone.

My Haul Today!

I was called off of work today. I was on call till 3 pm. That's the burden of ICU not enough patients they put you on call. So I went shopping.

Earrings from Torrid plus hair clips. The big gold ones are from Avon. I love Torrid for the accessories. And today they had a clearance sale. woohoo!


I got a dress from Charlotte Russe and 2 cute shirts. Grand total under $55.00 Love it.


Yeah the dress is busy but I like it. :)
