Tell me some random things about your children.
Gianna- She is funny the girl has no common sense. How do you teach a person common sense? You don't right? She worries me. LOL She is in competition with a boy in her class over accelerated reader points. This is the same boy she had a crush on awhile back. She also makes her own deals with us. For instance she wants a mani/pedi if she gets all E's on her report card. She is excellent at ballet though. She looks beautiful when she is in class.
Richie- Oh my Richie. He is all boy. He yells and screams in the house. He has 2 levels of sound loud and louder. When he doesn't want a food he says "it's too good". He loves to give hugs and kisses. He tells people to look at his hair lately since he has a mohawk. He dances the robot. I wish I could catch him in video. He yells in the car get on the train mama. He thinks our suburban is a train.
Nicholas- My baby boy. Even though he is a baby I know he knows. He waits till I am just about to remove his diaper to start peeing. He even gets a little smirk on his face when he does it. He yells and screams when he is frustrated. He grabs you on both sides of the face lately so he can draw you in and try and bite you. He hums to his boobs when he is eating. He smiles cries and makes funnr faces when he sleeps. I wonder what he dreams about?

Mini Vacation Pics
It's so hard trying to get a family shot. So you have 2 pics to choose from. LOL The last picture is of the coast. We are across the street from Doheny Beach. It's so pretty , not looking forward to going back to the heat.

Mini Vacation
Just some pictures from today. Gianna enjoyed herself making a build a doll instead of bear. They have cute little rag looking dolls to dress up now. The boys waited while sister took her time. Then it was time for the beach we walked from our hotel room. Gwen went with us. It's a lovely place quiet no one around. The weather was definitely better today.

Sprinkles Cupcakes
Yes we are weirdo's. My lovely husband said he wanted these cupcakes. So while we are up here on vacation/business meetings we went.
The line outside the place was crazy for a Sunday afternoon.
The magical cupcakes for 3.75 a cupcake, they better be super cupcakes!
I don't know about super cupcakes but they sure were yummy! Yes we got a dozen for the 4 of us. Call it greed or our eyes were bigger than our tummy. But we had to get a variety don't want to say we missed out. LOL
Yes I am a cupcake freak, I think cupcakes are my most favorite deserts next to lemon meringue pie.

My Best Friend!
Here are some fun pics we took at work. It was an slow morning, and I always have a camera so time to goof off. Above is Angie, Me and Kathy.
2nd Pic is Dr. and Angie.
I love slow mornings.
I also love my buddy. I joke with people I know her since sperm. Your probably thinking huh? Well our parents went to school together thats how long I have known her. She is a great friend. I don't have many girl-friends. I usually thought girls in high school were back stabbing. But not Angie. We have been through it thick and thin. I couldn't ask for a better friend. We joke we are going to get old together. She will be the wild old lady wearing some leopard print jacket, while I am in my classic khakis and plain shirts.
We will go crazy together when our girls enter high school. I will watch her children like a hawk just as sure as she will mine. I can't wait. :)

Starting a store: oh the worry
Well I have thought long and hard about this. I wanted a store front downtown. Well Lord behold one became available. Now I am sick to my stomach. Do I make the major leap to a store front? Will I fall flat on my face. Will I have anyone come visit me. Can I make it work? Oh the worry I have.
Rent is about 1500 a month. It's in the thick of things. I will definitely have foot traffic. I need to jump on this quickly if I want it. OH I am sick thinking about this.
Maybe this is a sign though that I should go through with it. I have after all been waiting for a store front downtown. Yes I know I am rambling. That is what happens when you have a mini melt down thinking about this.
Lord help me now.

Glass Bottles
Well we finally made the switch to glass bottles. I must say it was hard finding some here. I am worried about the chemicals that are leeched into the plastics bottles when heated. The plastic bottles run some risks so we make the switch to glass. It certainly is different having a glass bottle. They definitely heavier it takes some time getting use to.
So now we will be looking for plastics with either 1,2 or 5 on the bottoms. Thankfully Richie doesn't use sippy cups so we lucked out on that one.

Got another job today
Like I don't have enough on my plate. I got another job today doing IV infusions for a local Dr's office. I will be giving a new medication for osteoporosis. Called reclast. I am a dork and don't know how to put a link in here. But it sounds really good. Only given once per year and a really quick infusion. I say easy money for me a cake walk.
One time per month not too bad huh? Work was busy as usual. Today was a clinic day for me again.
I swear I have a love hate relationship with work.

ER Nursing
I found this sign when I Google ER nursing. I thought it was funny. Some days I wish our ER had set hours. Of course it doesn't. I come from a rural hospital. I think I may have mentioned this before. We get our droves of patients though each day. Don't let the rural part fool you.
Although lately I feel like I am working in a clinic rather then a true ER. I see so many people come in for cough cold symptoms it's ridiculous. Not that I want to see bad things happen to people, but the occasional code or CPR in progress would be nice.
I am going to take a class soon. Called an MICN class. What it boils down to, is I can give the paramedics some orders when they call in for radio reports. I guess it's cool but with it comes more responsibility.

No where to go!
I thought I had a sitter lined up but nope. So here a pic to remember me all dressed up as I sit here on the computer. I have no where to go! We did have a dinner to go to. But with no sitter and I tried to take the kids. Richie threw a fit so we are at home now. ugh. I want a night with my husband someday. Is that too much to ask for?

Vegas Deal
We are going to Las Vegas in May. I can not find a deal for the life of me. I usually pride myself on finding a deal for hotel rooms. Nope not this time. I can't find one under 200. I mean a decent place, not some hole in the wall place. Where I need to worry about the kids finding stuff under the beds.
Anyone have any suggestions let me know. Thanks. Traveling the weekend 17th in May.

Richie + the 60's
I think my hubby should have been born in the 60's. Lately he is on a tie dye bandwagon. He has a relay for life team the team colors are tie dyed shirts. His banner for the team is tie dyed. Should I be worried? LOL
I am super proud of him though. His team; he is team captain has raised over 2 thousand. For the cancer society. The relay for life will take place on April 4-6th. Gianna and Richie plan to camp out there since you need to have someone walk the track for 24 hours. He has many people on his team. Everyone has signed up for 1 hour increments to walk.
The theme this year is the "Boardwalk" so hubby went out and made a pier complete with a wood ferris wheel. A dunk tank, popcorn machine, sno cones. I think he might win for best camp site. He is such a nut.
I will post some pics when the whole thing is completed and set up.

Thankful Thursday
isngly w
Yes I have lots to be thankful for.
1. After my past post I was beside myself with worry. Well I was searching high and low for someone. I asked all my co-workers if they knew anyone. Well after much searching I find someone to watch Nicholas. I am so happy she seems like she is going to work out great. We begin in April.
2. Thankful that Richie is liking preschool. I left him there Monday. He cried for a minute wanted to go home with me. I had to be stoic and strong. I gave him a kiss and a hug . I left him there. I so wanted to cry but I didn't. He did well though per the teacher. So this is the start of him and school. I was so rushed though I did not have pictures. Maybe next week I will post some.
3. I am thankful today me, hubby and the boys went out to lunch. We went to the mall. While there I was able to meander through Sears, yes Sears. I found 2 cute dresses on clearance I couldn't pass them up. 8 and 11 dollars for dresses well over 50 bucks can;t beat that.
4. I am thankful that Spring is here. The weather has been so beautiful that we are wearing shorts most days.

Woe is me post
I think I have mentioned how stressed out I am lately. Well it all snowballed today. I had to fire my aunt who happens to be my nanny. Yes call me ruthless, but she canceled on me again this week. It puts me in such a predicament.
I am sick to my stomach. My schedule came out for the next month. I have no one to watch the children. My mother had surgery not too long ago so she can't help either. I have some interviews lined up but ugh this is hard.
Luckily we have back up money thanks to Richie's new job. I just may have to take off the next month to sort things out.
Again where is the money tree so I can just stay home, or where is the winning lottery numbers?

Painful Friday
Well it was inevitable. When I get stressed I carry it in my jaw. Yep I know weird but I do. I tend to clench my teeth at night. It's gotten so bad lately that my jaw keeps popping and clicking when I open and close. It hurts to eat, it hurts to talk even. I bet Richie is happy I am not able to jabber on like usual.
I need to see the Dr. asap. It hurts, whoa is me. Haha
I even bought a bite block , but I am such a nut the stupid thing kept making me gag so thats a no no. ugh I need some relief.

Thankful Thursday
Yes Thankful Thursday sans the graffic. Logging in from Richie's computer.
Today, I am thankful for the beautiful weather we are having. It's been in the 80's here and sunny. I love living in southern CA.
I am also thankful for God watching out for us. We are not broke by any means but like most we have alittle in the savings, but still not having checks just sitting around uncashed. Well we were blessed to hear that Big Richie got another PT job with the nursing students again. I can not tell you how nice it is to have a little cushion. So yes he has 2 jobs, but it's not like you think. He will be working 5 days a week. A few hours on Thursday and Fridays. phew I am happy.
I am thankful for a job that sort of fell in my lap. Thanks DH. It's a couple hours per month giving IV infusions to patients at a DR's office. Can't beat that. Sounds simple enough, and brings in major cash for only a few hours work.
So thankful Thursday is work related oh well. But I am sure thankful though. :)

Cranky Baby = Cranky Mama
Oh My poor Nicholas yes I know you have new teeth pooping through. But please please please stop being so fussy. Yes I know that's like asking for a money tree in my back yard. But this lil guy is my most fussy when it comes to teeth. I have tried ambesol sp?, tylenol, a wet rag, teething rings. Please if anyone else have a suggestion, bring it on. Thanks in advance. :)

I have make out sessions with him. He coos ,blows raspberries talks to me laughs when I tickle him. I think this age is the best so fun.
So yesterday he turned 7 months old. My baby is growing up fast. Very bitter sweet.

Ruin my Day
Yes please ruin my day thanks I really needed that. How is it that I let people piss me off to no end. Yes I am talking about work again. ER is stressful enough but now you have to add to it as well. Thanks alot lady.
I am very stressed at work lately. My sitter has cancelled on me for the last 2 weeks. I am in a pinch trying to find sitters every week. I need a break. I may lose my mind this week. I think it really may take a hiatus. I need a vacation.
Did you ever watch the movie overboard? You know when she has that baa baa baa moment. When the kids have taken her over the edge? That is my life lately. OHHHH BAAA BAAA BAAA BA!

Everyday Errands
Today is pay day which for us is grocery shopping day. I am a list maker. Makes shopping easier and I tend to not buy what ever is in sight. I like using www.kraftfoods.com website for ideas, and shopping lists.
Costco is also another shopping mecca for us. Where else can you get eggs to last for weeks, as well as tires while you wait. You can't beat their snack bar either. The kids love costco to try out the furniture, and looking at all the books.
Where else can you get giant size TP and paper towels. Oh how I love costco!

Thankful Thursday
Today was a good day.
I am thankful for knowing the firefighters. Today we saw them in town. We said Hi and asked if they mind us letting Richie see the truck. They said of course we opened the door and he sat in the truck. Boy I wish I had my camera he was so happy and excited. He yelled out look at all the stuff mom! Boy that was a sight to see.
For Gianna be as spoiled as she is. Yes I said it. I am thankful we can afford things my parents never could have. Today Gianna got a new beach cruiser. A Hawaiian print one complete with a basket.
For my DH having a day off. He has been working the last 2 months straight. Today he was off, and we got to run errands together. Yes I am happy for that.

Triathlon anyone?
Yes call me nutty buddy. But I think I want to try a triathlon someday. Just to say I did it. I am one of those people I think we all have a life list. Well one of those things on my list is to complete a triathlon. When I mentioned this to hubby he thought I meant the Iron Man. Huh yeah right I just want to do a little one like a sprint one. One that I can handle. I am in no way ever going to complete an Iron man no way in h#ll.
The one I am planning for is in Hawaii. I figure I can make a vacation out of it as well. Now I just need to scrape together my pennies and buy a decent bike to start training with. Wish me luck or a larger does of my crazy med's.

Too Tired Tuesday
Yes I know it's only Tuesday but I am super tired already. This has been a busy week. I had to scramble and switch schedules with the hubby. Our sitter cancelled this week, which caused havoc in the household. I hate that. I like knowing where my children will be and who will be watching them.
I work tomorrow as well. But luckily my nana/ grandpa for you folks who don't know Nana has agreed to watch Nicholas. Phew. Just need to make it through Wednesday, and then I am home free.
The rest of the week is easy. I will be taking Gianna to the bike shop to pick out a new bike courtesy of my mother in law. I placed an order for high school musical goodies for her birthday. They should be arriving shortly. I also need to start planning for which day I will have her party on.
Other than that I can't wait till my day off. :)

Wish Table
This is the table I wish I could have for my kitchen. It's from here so you know it's expensive . I wish I could afford it. So instead of the 4 thousand dollar price tag. I think I will search in San Diego for it's equivalent. And hope I find one similar for less money.

Stuck Scale
I am stuck. Yes I cheat so I shouldknow better. But still even when I am good I have been stuck at 134 for 10 days now. I so want to get to 125 at least but no, it's stuck. So here I wait till the magic of the scale wants to go down at least another pound. Off to count more points and hopefully be able to run again someday.

Yesterday I worked, most days I have chair patients. The easy get them out quickly cough cold type patients. Well a nurse was sick so I had regular beds to take care of no biggie. Until I got patient X. This person took my very last nerve all the good I had in me not to want to kill them. Why do you come to the ER get hooked up to IV's two for that matter, and think I am going to let you go out and smoke? I don't think so.
All day long can I go smoke? NO! Can I go smoke 2 hrs later NO!!!!!
I finally was able to get patient X a room upstairs. Boy I was happy when I did because I had no nerve or patience left in me. X should be glad I didn't throw the cigarettes in the trash.

Fair Time
Today was the local fair. It started out really hot like 80 degrees. Than the wind picked up and ruined it. It was short and sweet and of course over priced.
I was really looking forward to all the bad foods. The corn dogs spiral fries, the cotton candy. Well i got my corn dog my I guess my hope were up to high. It just wasn't good sadly. The cotton candy was yummy of course. But as I get older all those goodies are just not as good anymore.
Gianna won a gold fish in the ping pong toss. Richie was just happy to be able to throw things, and not get into trouble. Gianna named the fish Wally. So of course we had to buy fish food and all that good stuff.
Richie did play some games also he won a monkey. Nicholas was happy to be carried around and look at all the people.
