Since I was booted from the ER thanks hubby. I have been in the ICU 2 months now. I have come to appreciate the art of nursing from an ICU perspective. There is so much to think about from the many drips they are on, to the results from labs, xrays etc. Don't get me wrong I did think about these things when I was in the ER too. But in the ICU you really get to know you patients. You know their family. You know how hard it is on them, and how much they hurt to see their family member there.
But I also think when did the sons or daughters become Dr's? I treat my patients with care, and the best of intentions. I hate to think that since you watched 2 episodes on Discovery health that you know everything, and can make all the decisions. We study medicine so we can know what would work best on your parent. I am not sticking them with medicines, and drips just for fun. You said you wanted everything done for your mama now let us do it.
That's like me watching CSI and thinking I can go be a cop or detective now? Let me work please. And remember I will talk to you about everything I am doing to your parent or loved one.

My Cross Obession.
Here is the wall going upstairs. I love all my crosses. Most of them were gifts from many people. The big one in the middle came from Mexico City. My poor family carried it with them on the plane and through the town. Then I have one from Texas, from Belinda. Some are from my best friend Angie, some from my mom. I love them all.

Mad at Monday.
Today is a bad day. I dropped my math class. It really is too hard for me. I need to go back to beginning Algrebra and start over. Since I dropped my class, I had to return the book. I get me, and the boys ready and we head out.
The parking lot is full to the brim with cars. I had to park in secondary parking like 2 football fields away from the book store. So here I am with Nicholas, and Richie trying to get them to the book store. Finally wait in the 20 minute line to return the book. Yeah to getting my money back.
Other than that. I hit up Old Navy. Yes I charged it back with the money I got back form the book. Pants on clearance plus an additional 50% off clearance woot woot!

Random Thoughts
A good sneeze feels really good.
I love the smell of wet dirt right after it rains.
I smell my clothes right out of the dryer. Love the smell of the dryer sheets.
I pluck my eyebrows everyday.
I talk to my mom almost everyday.
I want a new tattoo. Then only thing stopping me is where to put it.
I am an ultimate bargain shopper. I usually only buy stuff on sale. Except for purses.
I miss Michael Jackson when he was normal, and still sung.
I am going to drop my math class. I need to go back to a remedial one. Yeah I suck.
I like reading the random quotes people put on their emails.
We watch a lot of Veggie Tales here almost everyday.

It's Dr Time!
So just in time for my money to be matured in our CD. I will be making an appointment with 2 surgeon in La Jolla.
I think I will be saving time by doing it the same week/weekend I will be running the Carlsbad 5K. So I am finally ready to make the appointments for April 3rd. After that depending on their prices etc. I will book a appointment.
I am excited and nervous at the same time. I mean it's major surgery. I have never had any surgery nothing at all. I hope I do OK.
I do plan to get a mammogram before I have the boobie job down. Better safe than sorry. My mom was 34 when she was diagnosed with cancer. So I really want to be careful.
Anyways those who have had surgery any in general is the anesthesia bad?

Craigslist? Stalkers Hang Out?
So I listed on my local craigslist that I was looking for a seam stress to sew a dress pattern for me. I also listed the jumperoo, and walker of the babies.
Well I was excited hoping I got a bite when I checked my email this morning and found two from craigslist. Imagine my surprise that they were from some guys I assume.
Asking to" get to know each other, and let's hang out ;)"
Yes it came with the winky eye face too. WTH? When did craigs list become stalkerish or a hook up place?
I just want to sell my stuff not meet guys. UGH!

NO she didn't!
OK today having a conversation we were talking about life, hubbies, stuff in general. Well the subject of my husbands age came up. My hubby looks younger than his 41 years. He always has. But the other gal I was talking with said well how far apart are you two in age? I said 11 1/2 years. So she asks my age, and I say 29. Then she says oh yeah you look your age.
I am thinking should I take that as an insult or a compliment or what! I said oh OK. And went on to talking about other stuff.
I DO NOT want to look my age. I want to look younger than my age. I want to be in my 50's and people still think I am in my late 30's.
I am being vain I know.

School Sucks.
I swear I feel like the oldest person in the whole entire class. I go to school with a bunch of children. I am OLD!!!
I am in math class and my mind is spinning already. I am going to need tutoring. Maybe it's a mental block but I never have gotten math. It bugs me something fierce. I hope to keep my head above water, and just pass the class.
Wish me luck or lend me your brain if you are good at math.

Say What?
I am guilty of just watching the Bachelor at the end. I just want to see who he ends up with and all the drama of the ending episode. That is all I could care less about the rest.
I am guilty of checking my email all day long. I check it almost 5 times a day unless I am at work.
I want to go to Camera school in May. They actually have a Nikon school, and I really want to go.
I let my kids watch too much television. Most times it is white noise in the back but it's almost always on. I am guilty.
I cleaned out 7 bags of crap out of Gianna's room. It was sickening how much stuff we actually buy our children.
I listed a bunch on craigslist. I hope to make a little profit for my cleaning extravaganza.
I like watching dog shows, like the dog competition.
I watch those stupid plastic surgery shows on E or the health channel.
I envy those who can run run. I can run walk/waddle with the best of them.
I once was passed by a Elvis who pissed her pants, and a chick in a chicken suit. It made me feel even slower than I already am.
Speaking of Vegas, and all things Elvis. I told the hubby I wanna get married again in Vegas. A fun wedding maybe Elvis can marry us. Want to come? It will be a blast.
That's about it for now. I feel like my brain just threw up, and you got to read the contents of it. Enjoy!

$30.00 later
I spent about $30.00 last night on music for my Ipod. I tunes is a sickness that takes my money. I literally found some gift cards in a cabinet while I was cleaning. I loaded some running music, Lily Allen, M.I.A, and some really bad rapper music. I like listening to really fast beats when I am running.
So hopefully I can be a happy runner again.

Lost Show- You have me so lost?
I must admit I watch the show lost. I have to watch the recap shows just to get up to date about what is going on now. Even though I watch the recaps I am still very lost. Do I need a degree in quantum physics in order to understand this now? Time Travel, the fight between good and evil. All these different story lines, and flash backs at times it's more than my little brain can handle. But I will continue on, and hopefully absorb enough to figure it out.
I excited the show is wrapping up and we will finally have an answer.

It works for me! Shopping Tip
Since I shop probably more than I should. I have accumulated those handy frequent shopper tags. You know the ones where you swipe it and rack up points or get coupons?I currently have one to DSW, NY and Company, Children's Place, American Eagle, and Hallmark.
So to make my shopping experience easier I finally put them all on a key chain. I have the key chain just for these cards. I keep it in my purse all the time.
Yeah most of you have probably done this but I am always late to the game. ;)

Valentine's Gifts
This totally reminds me of growing up, and a boy making me a mix tape. That boy long long ago made me a mix tape that included THE Cure on it. Think of your loved one and buy her this with your own love songs on it.
This one is just plain funny to me. I love it.

oh Pandora Radio I heart you!
I must admit I listen to Pandora Radio when I am cruising the net. I have a few pre-set stations on it.
For instance I have the

Weezer Radio
Foo Fighters Radio
Johnny Cash Radio
and last but not least
Pussy Cat Dolls Radio
So what are your favorites?
In other radio news there is something called Slacker. You can wi-fi radio in to this little hand held radio. It's about 150.00 to 250.00 for the little contraption but seems neat. Go here to check it out.

Renting Toys Who Knew?
I know my house is full to the brim with those toys thrown by the wayside. Yes sometimes a certain toy will hold their interest for more than a week. Usually that is not the case though. Did you know there is a rent a toy out there? I never knew. It's like the netflix of the toy world. Toys are shipped out to you. They are shipped free of charge. All toys are inspected prior to shipping. I think it's a win win situation. If your child becomes especially fond of a toy you can out right buy it.
Now the basic rates is 24.99 for two toys. But if keeping the kids interested is your thing. This may be the answer for you.
Go here to check it out RentaToy

Capt. Sully I salute you!
So I saw Capt. Sully from the plane crash on the Hudson River. I was so happy to see he appears to be a down to earth guy. He wished to thank all his crew mates and wasn't a spotlight hog. WTG! I also saw him get the key to the city from Mayor Bloomberg. He was very cordial to mention his crew again, and all the first responders.
Yeah to him Kudos!

Grammy's M.I.A.
Here is M.I.A at the Grammy's I thought it was great she is 9 months preggos' and ready to pop but she still performed at the Grammy's. You can stop watching at .29 sec. I really don't care for the rest of the performers. But I think she was great!

Motherhood Mysteries
Why is it that in 2 seconds flat that the floor can be dirty again. This after you just swept, mopped, and made it spic n span.
That little socks mysteriously get eaten by the washer or the dryer.
When you are ready to go out, someone always spills vomits or spits up on something?
The dreaded diaper blow outs. Why o why?
The also equally dreaded wet diaper hanging to their knees in the morning? How can one little person pee that much?
That his toy is always way better than the toy you currently have so chaos must start, and the fighting.

School Finals.
I have a week off of doing nothing, and then my Spring semester starts. I am shaking in my boots. I hate math, and now I am going to take Algebra II. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I just hope I can pass that class. Math is not one of my strong points. Yeah I can balance a check book and figure out the tip but that's about it.
WISH ME LUCK!!!!!

Date Night!
Richie and I went out Friday to a Mardi Gras shrimp boil. It was thrown by the foundation to raise money for the pediatric center in our hospital.
It was really fun. They had a silent auction, raffles, and really good food. Of course I ate way too much thank heavens my dress was a little stretchy. LOL Luckily they raised a lot of money to renovate the pediatric ward.

Valentine's Day Cards Ida Style
Don't you just love Valentine's Day? I think it is purely commercial now. But I still like a card from my honey. These are the type of cards I like you can keep the mushy ones.

Richie learned a joke.
My little Richie knows one joke and only one. So you may get this joke over, and over all day long. But every time he tells it , it still makes me laugh. Gotta love a 3 year old brain.
Of course Nicholas had to jump in there too.

My Nicholas.
My Nicholas the cookie thief always remembers to steal some for his big brother. He sits on the bottom of the stairs and eats his cookies. Trying so hard to give some to Richie. When Richie is in a good mood he thanks Nicholas, and gives him a hug. Other times it's NO Nicholas I no wanna a cookie.
But even still I heart that little boy he is really sweet.

# 500 courtesy of "The Office"
Yes it is long, yes I laughed my butt of at the CPR scene. The Silence of the Lambs part made me cry. Oh it was genius. You should spend the next 8 minutes laughing till you cry.
oh and about the CPR song Staying Alive it's true your cpr beats should match the song.
Happy Monday!
