Today I felt naked!
huh what?
I must say that I don't feel complete unless I am wearing earrings. I am a freak about it. I felt naked today. I went to the dentist sans earrings. I have a habit of twisting or playing with my earrings when I am in traffic or at a stop light. It's a quirk of mine. Anyways there I was at the stoplight with nothing to twirl.
I guess since I have had my ear pierced for forever, I feel weird when I don't have something in them.
Must be the Mexican in me having my ears pierced since I was a wee bit baby!

I always thought
When I was younger I always thought I would be one of those women who dress up when they go to work. I would wear heels, and skirts. Or business suits. No not the 80's big poof shoulder pads kind.
But a sleek suit.
Now everyone knows I wear pajamas to work. Seriously scrubs are like pajamas. They have no shape they are forgiving and loose. Every persons dream come true huh?
Well where I work we are required to wear green scrubs. Like these
ok this picture was when I was pg with Nicholas, but you get the idea. The only thing I can jazz up at work is my hair or my shoes. But work shoes aren't the prettiest things either. So give me some suggestions on how to jazz up the green ol' scrubs.

For Tiburon & Ethan!
The lovely lady Tiburon from whom I have stolen many a blogging idea, is trying to raise some money. For all my faithful readers yeah all 5 of you. I would love love love if you could help her reach her goal of 2000.00. Her cutie pie son Ethan has Type I diabetes. So all monies would be going for that cause. Go ahead and read about it all here.
I am sure she would be happy with any help possible. Thanks blogging buddies!

Richie and his new ride!
Little Richie was in little boy heaven today. We got some time with a helicopter today. He was so giddy.
Our hospital has a new contract with the Reach heli, so we were able to talk to the guys, see the helicopter sit in it etc.

Once upon a time....
Don't ask me why I remembered this? Once I was waiting in the oh so popular Walmart parking lot. I was pulled over to the right side so I could allow people to pass on the left while I waited for the coveted parking spot to open up. I had just Gianna at the time. She must of been around 2-3 years of age. You know the age where they repeat all those choice words you may have said. Especially those who are four letters long. Well the person pulls out of the spot. I began to move forward but there was someone on my left passing by so I had to wait.
What does the person on the left do! Pulls into my parking spot. My damn parking spot. The one I had been waiting for. Ohhhh I was pissed. Some vato looking homeboy gets out of his car all nonchalant like. I flipped him the bird but of course not very lady like , but heck Gianna didn't know what that meant. I yelled that's my parking spot. He just kept on watching like nothing was wrong.
Now I am not a mean person, but at times I think I might be a vengeful person. I so wanted to put sugar in his gas tank. Or if Gianna was in a diaper I would have wiped some poop on his door handle. Yeah I was ghetto in my thinking. But that move meant war to me.
I do have some major anger issues when it comes to driving. It's the impatient-ness in me. Of course I didn't cause harm to his car, but in my dreams his car would have been toast.

What do Mandy Moore & I have in common?
Our love for the UFC fighters. It's my guilty pleasure. I watch with my hubby all the fights. I know most not all of the fighters. I watch The ultimate fighter on Spike.
I know I know it's so barbaric. But I can't help myself. I love watching the fights. It's one of the fastest growing sports. Well if you can call it a sport. I use to be a big boxing fan too. But now I am turned on to UFC there is no going back.
Someday I want to surprise my hubby by taking him to a fight in Vegas. I am sure he would love it. Now I need to find a fight he really wants to see.

Conversations with Hubby,
So here is a glimpse in to the inner workings of our marriage.
Me: (trying to hold hubby's hand at home on the couch) Babe your hands are super smooth. (me laughing hysterically) I think your hands are smoother then mine.
Richie: ha ha Why are you making fun of my nice luxurious hands?
Me: Not even a callous nothing?
Richie: Well it's not like I use them for anything.
I laugh at my hubby he does have really soft hands it's almost scary. It's not like his hands are used for working outside.
Another glimpse in to us.
I worry about my hubby. He really is more creative then me. I call him the chick in our marriage. When someone wants cooking advice they call him. He can decorate, paint, cook. His closet is way more organized and just plain prettier then mine. Mine looks like the clothes blew up. His looks like a gap store. Complete with matching colors. Shirts folded in perfect rectangles. He worries me oh yes he does.
Let's just say today he made a quiche and took that to work. I am sure everyone will oooh and ahhh over his cooking abilities.
OH yes he worries me.

New shoes!
I am a sucker for new shoes. I love love love these new shoes I got from but of course Target. Similar to Steve Madden's but oh so much cheaper. I am gonna rock these shoes out. With jeans but of course, or a dress. I can not wait. At 19.99 can't beat it compared to 99.00.

It's Bandanniversary Time!
A year ago my hubby got the Lap Band Procedure done. I was about to pop with Nicholas when hubby flew to Monterrey Mexico. I was so nervous for him. For one I couldn't go with him because of the ever expanding belly. We didn't tell anyone in my family because he wanted to keep it private at the time. So off goes my hubby all by his lonesome.
I was a nervous wreck. Would my hubby be OK would he do OK with anesthesia. He is in a foreign country with his limited Spanish speaking abilities. Thankfully he came through it with flying colors. He stayed 4 days, then came home to me safe as can be.
He did have some adventures on the way there. He missed his plane in San Diego so was bumped a few times. He finally got to Mexico, but that meant his car service had to be called to pick him up later. So there I call in my limited Spanish speaking abilities trying to give them his new plane arrival times. That was fun!
The procedure went well. Over the year he lost over 50 lbs. He is now at a nice 246. Yeah he is still a big guy, but a healthier big guy. He is not taking so many medications for hypertension or diabetes. He is overall much healthier. I am very thankful my kiddies will have a daddy for a lot longer.

For Being so Little
Meet Nicholas the little spitfire.
For being so little this baby has a mean streak. Take a toy away you better believe you are gonna get a smack. Attempt to move his toys in another direction or out of the way you'll get a yell or a argh! Cave man sort of noise from this little person.
Try to get him to take a nap. He flail and thrash around the bed aimlessly till he wants to fall asleep.
He pinches, he pokes, he growls, he slaps. He's only 11 months.
But he does give some of the best wet sloppy open mouth kisses EVER! Oh and he does patty cake like nobody's business. It's the cutest thing around.

Target I love you so!
Stole the pic from Rueters!
Anyways, I love Target. I love going up and down your aisles looking for all things clearance. I can get things cheap that are super cute. Oh how I love it so.
I can get clothes for me. Yes I wear target clothes. I am not ashamed to admit it. I will rock a target dress like nobody's business. Jewerely too.
I can wander through the toys section looking for clearance toys. The baby aisles too.
I love shopping for kitchen items or stationary paper. I have made friends with associates who tell me when the sales go up.
If my Target sold groceries I don't think I would ever leave.
Super Walmart I heart you too, but in a cousin twice removed sort of way. You give me cheap groceries.

Spam o'rama
I am not going to lie. My family loves Spam. Me not so much. But the boys love it. Even the little one has gotten in on the spam action.
Richie loves it with eggs or in a sandwich.
The baby loves it cut up in little pieces.
Big Richie loves it any way possible. On eggs in a roll. You name it he loves it. I call it his Hawaiian-ess coming out of him.

Things I have learned in the kitchen!
Things I have learned in the kitchen FINALLY!
Everyone in my family knows that Richie is the cook. But I am a pretty good baker. So we make a good team.
Things I learned is..
Always cut your brownies with a plastic knife. Don't believe me try it. They will cut perfectly every time.
Always take your cookies out a minute or two early. They'll still cook on the baking sheet.
Let your cake completely cool before trying to take them out of the pans. I have learned that one the hard way. Plenty a cake was lost to me being impatient.
Water and flour make glue when you are in bind and need glue.
If you are crazy organizer. Organize your shelves so that everything faces labels out and stack them. Then it's easy to know when you are low on something. Quick way to make the shopping list.
The dishwasher is your best friend.
Pouring ice down the disposer sharpens the blades.
I am sure there is more. But I can't think about them all.

Whoa a week!
So I have been missing for a week. It's been a busy week for me. I had major errands. Plus I worked my 2 days. 12 hour shifts are killing me. But heck at least it's over quickly.
I will post some more later.

Moley Moley Mole
So it's done. I removed my mole last week. It's scabbed over (insert ewww here). I think it will grow back. At least that is what the dermatologist said. So here is the face in all it's glory. You can see the scab but soon enough the scab will be gone.

Running Skirts
I was reading my copy of Runner's Magazine, and this topic came up. I guess some are pretty adamant women that would not wear a skirt to run in. Some are self conscience some don't really believe you should run in skirts. I really don't care either way. I think some are really cute. I would run in one.
If you are so daring you can pick one up here. She was the first pioneer of them. So happy running!

Over the top?
I am so not into politics but this seems a bit much to me don't you think? A gunned Michelle, and a muslim garb Obama.

Tribute to the Mole
I think it's funny you would think my daughter would get my beauty mark but no my son did.
Moles unite!
A kiddie pic minus the Nicholas.
So there is my mole in all it's glory or unglory if you think moles are gross. If I remember correctly this week is my dermatologist appt. I am so sad. I hope it goes well. Wish me luck!

Operation Wean
So Nicholas will be 1 next month. He still is loving his boobies, but the mommy is feeling our time to end is near. So we are in the process of weaning. I cut out 2 feeding yesterday. He whined a bit but not as much as I thought he would. I did give him his early morning and bedtime feeding those will be the hardest to quit. So in the mean time I look like Dolly Parton. But hopefully within the month we can cut out most feeding. Wish us luck. Richie nursed for 14 months. I don't want to go there with Nicholas.
I know I know I do feel alittle guilty about stopping. But if the momma ain't happy no one is happy.

It's On!
One of my favorite stores is having it's special sale again. You can pre-order your makeup now and have it shipped to you by July 18th. I am in love with MAC makeup. You can not beat the deal either for these limited edition eye shadows, lipsticks, and the famous brushes. I highly suggest picking up some today. I will be picking out the 2 eyeshadows and some new brushes.

Gianna's Bag
I found the pic of her bag on ebay because I am too lazy to take my own. She is so stinking happy to get this bag. It's a harajuku bag. She thinks she is queen bee let me tell you. She better not lose the bag that is all I have to say. And thanks to the Rack I didn't pay the 69.00 price tag.
Her nina/Godmother thinks it's too gotti. That is our term we use for anything to flashy or bright. But my Gianna loves all things sparkly and flashy!
